    Mahiki Outdoor

    Gorilla Events launched Mahiki Outdoor at our flagship event at Henley Royal Regatta. Mahiki Henley successfully created an on brand representation of the famous tiki nightclub brand in an outdoor environment.
    This huge challenge and required meticulous planning, sourcing and importing of materials, props and furniture. Our in house team designed and created the worlds biggest tiki bar with a 3000 capacity venue complete with a super VIP enclosure.
    Gorilla worked alongside Mahiki’s team to curate a drinks menu that was transferable to a
    festival setting and required us to implement a volume cocktail operation capable of delivering perfect poured signature cocktails.

    Frontier Lager Container Bar

    Westside Drinks a division of Fuller’s Brewery approached Gorilla to design a container bar for their flagship brand, Frontier Craft Lager and manage the logistics and operation across a number of high profile and exciting new UK festivals.
    This portable bar solution needed to create maximum impact and stand out from the crowd. Utilising the shell of a 20ft side opening shipping container, our designers were tasked with creating a bar capable of serving thousands of customers at a very fast rate, whilst maintaining an on-brand high end industrial aesthetic, unique to Frontier.

    Taste of London: VIP & Hospitality

    In 2016 Gorilla Events were brought in by Taste Festivals organisers, IMG, to dress the VIP & Corporate Hospitality areas at Taste of London. Formed of two large structures, IMG were keen to move away from the stuffy corporate style hospitality offers that have become the norm at other events. We were asked to introduce a fresh, fun and vibrant aesthetic, with premium indoor and outdoor furniture options.

    Drawing on the trends in tropical back in 2016, we pulled together a palm-inspired oasis for both the VIP & Hospitality tents.

    In 2017 we returned to the event to work again on the same areas and Gorilla continue to work with IMG on a number of projects throughout the year.

  • CASE STUDY

    Sushi Samba and Duck & Waffle: Taste of London

    Gorilla Events were approached by Samba Brands Management to design and produce a venue to house Sushi Samba and Duck & Waffle at Taste of London 2015.
    The brief was to take their iconic restaurants out of the Heron Tower and on to the road, recreating many of the design features. On site we had two days for installation, and with many of the elements pre-fabricated in the studio we were able to transform the simple marquee into a “home from home” for Duck & Waffle and Sushi Samba. In 2016 we returned to Taste of London and utilising some of the existing set and a brand
    new BBQ area, we produced the restaurant stand for these two iconic venues.
