The Past

Gorilla began back in 2001 with a visit to the Henley Royal Regatta, Henley-on-Thames. Despite being noted as one of the UK’s premier social gathering, it was clear there was something lacking in the public provision. That year Gorilla set about devising a public bar that would not only cater for the rowing society by day, but also the insatiable thirst of the spectators by night.

With a sponsorship package from Budweiser and a van load of Nottingham’s finest bartenders, ‘The Boat House’ was born in 2002 and Gorilla had created its first festival style venue. With a unique blend of professional bar service, a selection of the finest cocktails, and a handful of prestigious DJ’s from across the UK, the boat house created quite a fuss at the regatta that year, and soon became the destination hotspot of the week. Within 3 years The Boat House had undisputedly become the most successful public venue on the waterfront and catered for some 35,000 spectators over the regatta week.

Making ‘the boat house’ a Henley institution put Gorilla on the map and further progression into the festival bar market soon followed. A dedication to employing only professional staff, offering a fast service and premium products gave Gorilla a formidable reputation, developing a strong portfolio of outdoor events and gaining considerable industry experience.

The Present

Under some careful new direction Gorilla has expanded its range of services to supply the high demand for professional event bar services in both the private and corporate event market. High standards coupled with a relentless enthusiasm has furthered the Gorilla reputation and led to a dedicated following of repeat business with a long list of clients.

However it is not always big budget business, and we understand the importance of offering a range of packages to suit individual requirements.
